MMEA Pre-Conference Events on Thursday, January 19th:

Our MMEA Headliner was David Frego, specialist in elementary general music education and Dalcroze Eurhythmics.  Frego is past-president and a member of the advisory board of the Dalcroze Society of America. Honors Composition Contest Winners!

New Collegiate Conference
MMEA is pleased to announce the first-annual MMEA/NAfME Collegiate Conference!  The event will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Albion College.  Please visit our NAfME Collegiate Page for more information and a printable copy of the registration form!

Kroger "I Can Make History" Contest
Black History Month is February, and Kroger is pleased to announce a great way for students to get involved, become aware and create beautiful artwork.  Submissions can come from four (4) categories: art, essay, music and poetry.  Please visit http://www.icanmakehistory.com for more information.

NAfME 2012 All-National Honor Ensembles
NAfME is pleased to announce auditions for the 2012 All-National Honor Ensembles. 
 High School sophomores, juniors and seniors may enter in Concert Band, Choir, Orchestra and Jazz Band.  The Choir will be directed by MSU's Sandra Snow.  Auditions close January 20, 2012.


"Glee - Give A Note" Contest Winner!
The Glee-Give A Note Foundation has awarded one Michigan school a $10,000 grant.  Congratulations to Detroit's Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School!
