Elementary Honors Choir
MMEA is proud to announce this first-ever event in Michigan!  Elementary students grades 3-6 are invited to audition for a NEW Honors Choir geared specifically for young singers.

Audition information will be announced in the coming weeks, with audition recordings due in mid-November 2014.  Members will be announced in mid-December, with rehearsals and the performance taking place in March/April 2015.

Additional details will be sent via email and posted here in the near future.  Stay tuned for more information about this fantastic new vocal music opportunity!

Michigan Teacher Certification Changes

Michigan has announced sweeping changes to the teacher certification laws.  The changes took effect on 9/1/2013.    More details can be found on our new Professional Development page.
